IT WASN’T OUR CAT!!!…

Remember that cat I talked about like a week ago?…

I thought it was my cat, Tang…It wasn’t…:(…

But we got his vaccinations and worm medicine (It was cheaper to get him the medicine than have him analyzed, and it’s banana flavored, which cats apparently like)…

My family still refers to him as Tang, (Sometimes intentionally adding air quotes), but I call him Entei…Because it’s disrespectful to the memory of Tang to just name him Tang…

I swear though, this cat apparently started showing up to neighbors (who have been feeding him) since just after Tang left…We looked at side by side comparison pictures of his face dead on, and he looked exactly like Tang…

But then we find out he wasn’t chipped…Which, maybe you could say the adoption center may’ve made a HUGE oversight with…But then…A cat can’t unneuter himself…:’)…

So, that’s how we found out Entei wasn’t Tang…Entei is now apart of the family, but he’s still warming up to everyone and hates us and is in defense mode…

But it’s okay…We now have 3 cats with very distinct personalities…lol…

That’s all, later dino…

Comparing WWE with typical Storytelling

How long’s it been since I last posted?…Curses, I had nothing to read!…Hopefully, one day I’ll have a group of people who freak out if I don’t post for a few days…(HEY, IF ANY OF YOU WHO MIGHT READ THIS ARE LIKE THAT, PLEASE LEAVE A COMMENT YELLING AT ME FOR NOT POSTING, IT’D MAKE MY WORLD!!!)…

So, professional wrestling has a soap opera-like storyline format, which is where the commonly used sentence, “WWE is basically a soap opera for males” comes from…It basically is…The storytelling is almost entirely character based…Like each wrestler has his or her own story or lore and it’s constantly colliding with the story of other wrestlers…

It’s not THAT much different from something like an anime or video game with characters that have backstories…Just the fact that we can see the entire history, because most of it’s been on screen…That wasn’t always the case, not all professional wrestling is televised…But everything that’s directly connected or relevant to the storylines of today in WWE, you can find everything…

The Undertaker, for example, is a character who’s major storyline for 9 straight years, was his 21-1 WrestleMania undefeated streak (The streak ran for 23 years, but it only became the primary prey for the first time at WrestleMania 21)…But while that was an Undertaker storyline, each year was a different tale…

A brief run-down…WrestleMania 21 was Randy Orton vs. The Undertaker, for Undertaker’s 13th decision…Randy Orton had a story of his own…For months, he had been taking down former WWE (In their time, WWF) veterans, calling himself the Legend Killer…In that time (Give me some slack, I might not have the order of events and legends defeated spot on), he had defeated Mick Foley, Shawn Michaels, Sgt. Slaughter, Kamala, Roddy Piper, you get the idea…

Undertaker was his next target, and to conclude a great match, a cocky Orton attempts to use Undertaker’s own finishing move against him, which Undertaker flips it into the Tombstone Piledriver, to pin Orton for the 3 count…It should be duly noted that while Orton failed to beat the streak, he did continue his feud with The Undertaker, and ultimately won the feud…

I was going to leave it at that, but it seems like a good moment to mention that Randy Orton’s father, Bob Orton, became directly involved with their feud…Bob Orton is a former wrestler with a long history that goes back to the 70’s, having wrestled in many different promotions (Up to the 90s, in professional wrestling, those were known as the territory days)…Also, should be duly noted that these are wrestlers who started in 3 very different time periods…I didn’t even think about that before I used this as an example…

So, that’s the basic gist…It’s honestly only different from other works of fiction in how it’s presented as an unscripted sport, with more personified characters and more potential for emotional investment…

All the characters in most shows have histories and backstories, but these are typically explained, alluded to, or shown in flashbacks…There’s typically one major character that we see everything important from, whether plot-related or backstory related…And that can extend to a few characters, sometimes…

Just something I was thinking about…I wanna do comparisons between wrestling booking and booking other shows, next…While it’s still WrestleMania Season…But I think I’ve done all the writing I can focus on for now…Hope someone enjoyed this…
